MINI-LIFT: A Minimally Invasive Facelift

The facelift has long been a powerful ally in rejuvenating the face and neck. This surgical procedure restores youth by tightening the skin and muscles so they return to their original position, creating a true facial rejuvenation.

Advances in plastic surgery have given rise to new, less invasive and equally effective techniques such as the Mini-Lift. The technique is essentially the same as the traditional facelift, but the incision is shorter and less invasive. The surgeon is able to remove excess skin and tighten the neck and jowls through a minor incision made around the ears and hairline.

What makes the mini-lift a good alternative to the traditional facelift?

  • Less painful: Less invasive - so pain, swelling and discomfort are virtually non-existent.
  • Quick recovery time: Mini-lifts only require a couple of days of downtime – hence their nickname “weekend facelifts”.
  • Local anesthesia: Avoid the risks of general anesthesia along with its side effects.
  • Less costly: Shorter duration and less invasive techniques lead to lower cost factors in comparison to traditional facelifts.

Why is it effective?

The traction is done only on the muscles and not on the skin. It requires skill and technical expertise.
